We investigate which cognitive strategies people use for planning and decision-making. Our approach combines a newly developed process-tracing method (Jain, Callaway, & Lieder, 2019) with resource-rational analysis (Lieder & Griffiths, 2020), automatic strategy discovery, and Bayesian inverse reinforcement learning. This includes understanding cognitive biases and identifying the sources of individual differences in planning and decision-making.
